As a kid,
I loved a good fairy tale, and it seems that this is a taste I can't outgrow.
So when I was asked to step in as a guest reviewer and weigh in on this
erotic retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I was happy to do so.
I was also curious as to how such a retelling might turn out - would it
be too cold, too hot, or just right? |

Ravished
is the tale of Wilona, an ambitious young woman who loves sex and wants
to get out of the boring town where she grew up. Alas, going off to seek
her fame and fortune in London is easier said than done, thanks to the isolation
of the village and a bunch of evil bears who are lurking at the edge of
town. Anyone who would be so foolish as to want to leave is almost sure
to be eaten by those bears! She'd be much better off to stay put and go
through with the marriage that has been arranged by her father (at least,
this is what everyone else thinks). But Wilona is far too spunky (not to
mention horny), and her ambitions soon lead her out of Waineswick and on
to adventures that never seem to stop, adventures that will keep the reader
amused right to the very last page. I will say that about three-quarters
of the way into the novel, the story takes a turn into mysterious imagery
that left this reader somewhat baffled. But worry not - the confusion does
not last long. Best of all, the sex scenes in Ravished
are unique, well-written and highly erotic, and fit perfectly into the plot,
too, acting as a showcase for the charmingly randy Wilona and a cast of
supporting characters you won't forget. |

But
what about the bears? Well, that would be telling too much; you'll just
have to read the book to find out. Suffice it to say that Ravished
is, in all its many ways, just right. |
